Future Forum Presents: Mark Updegrove in Conversation on the Presidency

In celebration of Presidents' Day, new Library Director Mark Updegrove will lead a dialogue on President Obama's first year in office. He will also share stories from his most recent book Baptism By Fire: Eight Presidents Who Took Office in Times of Crisis. Published last January, Baptism By Fire examines eight presidents who took office in times of unprecedented crisis, how they dealt with the burdens they inherited, the role of character in leadership, and the lessons they provide for President Obama.
After the discussion, attendees will have an opportunity to meet Updegrove during a reception. I hope you will plan to join us to welcome him!
