He is the creator of Hoovers.com, the world’s largest Internet-based provider of information about enterprises and is also well know for the highly acclaimed Hoover’s Handbook series, featuring profiles of large and fast-growing companies. Gary also created Bookstop which was eventually sold to Barnes & Noble and became a cornerstone for their industry-dominating superstore chain. Hoover speaks from experience about the critical components of building and leading a successful enterprise. Gary Hoover is currently the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business.
