Tell us a little bit about 49 Financial.
49 Financial is a values-based financial planning firm founded on the belief that “Two are Better than One.” We offer holistic financial planning services focusing on retirees and high-net-worth individuals. Our services cover risk management, investments, tax-advantaged investing, retirement planning, and more. We are headquartered in Austin and have 150 advisors in nine offices nationwide. We use a team-based model to provide exceptional client service while developing the next generation of advisors.
How is 49 Financial supporting young professionals in Austin?
Our team is changing the face of the industry—literally. Our advisor base’s average age is far below the average for the industry, which is 56, and we see this as a strategic advantage. We invest in the development of top emerging talent in Austin (and our other 8 offices) through apprenticeship. As young professionals step into this career and begin to build long-term, sustainable practices, our team can impact clients’ lives for generations to come.
Why did 49 Financial join AYC and what benefits does the company and employees receive?
49 Financial joined AYC to help our advisors connect with young professionals making a difference. We believe young leaders can make huge impacts early in their careers. Our Founder & CEO, Travis Penfield, shared his early career experiences at the AYC Lead Summit, and it was inspiring to hear how eager other AYC members are to also leave a legacy in their work.
