Austin Young Chamber Foundation Supports Central Texas Signing Day

CTX Signing Day celebrates Central Texas high school seniors and their commitment to REACH HIGHER.

On Friday, May 4, over 1,000 high school students representing 45 schools across Central Texas gathered at Concordia University in Austin to celebrate one thing: a pledge to attend and finish post-secondary education. Many of those in attendance will be first-generation college students.

Inspired by the NCAA’s National Signing Day, College Signing Day reinforces the idea that excellence in the classroom should be given as much attention as excellence in athletics.

“CTX Signing Day is a time for these students to celebrate their accomplishments and goals for the future. While it is a morning of fun and celebration, students walk away with a better sense of community. ” said Austin Young Chamber member and CTX Signing Day organizer Ashley Alaniz-Moyer.

The Austin Young Chamber Foundation joined local chambers, businesses, and non-profits in supporting Central Texas Signing Day to show students that our community believes in them and is invested in their future. These students are Austin’s future workforce, and our future young professionals.

Join us in celebrating the commitment of these students to continue their education and #reachhigher for themselves and for our community.
