Superman was adopted. Spiderman was raised by his aunt and uncle. Batman grew up with his friend and butler, Alfred. Thor was kicked out of Asgard by his dad but eventually reunified with his family. Few superheroes grew up in a typical family situation, yet they all accomplished great things as adults. CASA of Travis County believes all children deserve the chance to grow up happy and healthy and become superhero adults themselves.
You can support CASA’s mission and help children who’ve been abused or neglected by registering for the CASA Superhero Run on Sunday, September 13 at The Domain Central Park! Join the Austin Young Chamber Team and run, walk or fly with us through this 5K and Kids 1K featuring a superhero costume contest, obstacle course by BAM Academy, special superhero guest appearances, bounce houses, photo booth and lots of fun family activities.
Register for the AYC Team at http://bit.ly/AYC5K15 (you can also donate to the cause or volunteer on event day). Learn more about CASA of Travis County and how you can be a superhero CASA volunteer for children at http://www.casatravis.org/.
