May Member of the Month: Herbert Blanco

Each month, the Austin Young Chamber will highlight a member who is doing extraordinary work to strengthen our businesses, our community…or both! Showcasing their achievements is just one way we can put a spotlight on the talented, collaborative, and community-focused workforce we have here in Central Texas.

This month we’re highlighting Herbert Blanco – a Young Chamber Member and Team Manager of TapSnap 1168. Read on to learn more about Herbert’s adventure and experience into the entrepreneurial word and what he’s most proud of as he’s built his business.

Austin Young Chamber: How did you develop the idea or concept of your business? Tell us a little about your journey towards the creation of TapSnap.

Herbert: After working for over 17 years in the automotive manufacturing industry, I was ready to start a new adventure and experience the entrepreneurial world. I looked into small businesses where I could use my talents while learning the ropes of how to run my own company. After some digging, I came across TapSnap and I got hooked on the entertainment industry ever since. This new venture allowed me to do something different and exciting while putting to good use my people skills.

Austin Young Chamber: Where have you seen the greatest growth and opportunity for your business in the Austin community?

Herbert: I’m so thankful we have finally turned the corner on COVID, and we can finally go back to being out and about bringing photo booth memories to our event guests and clients. Post-pandemic, the biggest growth for my business has been in the corporate and non-profit sectors.

Austin Young Chamber: What are you most proud of as you have grown the business?

Herbert: Being patient, flexible, and staying in touch with my clients, even during the most thriving times; has proven to be vital to regaining a steady growth pace (post-pandemic), and finding creative ways to accommodate my client’s needs and visions has strengthened previous relationships and led to the development of new leads.

Austin Young Chamber: Anything else the Austin community should know about TapSnap?

Herbert: We are fully operational and ready to serve our Austin community by bringing unlimited smiles to our clients and their guests. TapSnap is not just a service, it’s an experience
