      1. What brought you to Austin and how long have you been here?
I moved here in 2011 from Carlsbad CA because I wanted to try something new and see what living in a new place without knowing anyone would be like. Austin was a fun place to visit and everyone was so nice and welcoming I ended up moving here.
      2. How did you get connected to AYC?
It started last year with a Let’s Talk: A New Way to Network event at UT Club and I met a lot of great individuals that I’ve become friends with. As I got more involved a lot of opportunities have come my way to grow as an individual both professionally and personally.
      3. What are you involved with in AYC AND what is your favorite part of AYC?
I will be the Chair of Leadership Services Committee for the 2020 year. I’m excited to help engage with non-profits and connect our members with opportunities to help impact our community. My favorite thing about AYC is that we get to know others and what their interests are and build a network that isn’t just about business only. I have made friends with great people who I look forward to being around and want to make our city a better place.
      4. Where can we find you brunching in Austin on any given Saturday?
Haha, I don’t brunch because they are way too crowded for me but if I do I like Easy Tiger up north, or one of the Mexican Food places out by my place on the east side of town.
      5. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and what would you use it for?
Flight, Traffic sucks so much that I would want to be able to fly like superman. I would give up commuting all together. Since it’s a superpower I’m going with the fact not very many people could so it wouldn’t be crowded.
      6. If you could have any celebrity live next door to you, who would it be?
I would have to say Teemu Selane, one of my all time favorite hockey players. He also isn’t super famous so I wouldn’t have all the paparazzi that goes with fame.
      7. If you had guests visiting Austin for the weekend, where is the first place you would take them to show them a good time?
First I take them to see downtown from town lake at Zilker or on the lake, then to dinner for drinks and good food.
      8. If you played hooky for a day, where would we find you and what would you be doing?
Only a day? I would say go to a hockey, soccer or football game and I would be drinking beer with friends.
      9. When people ask you what you do for a living, what do you tell them?
I help people plan for their financial futures by helping them invest in the most important thing and that’s themselves and their families.
      10. What technology could you not live without?
I could give up technology in a heartbeat if I had a job that didn’t require it. But I guess it would be TV because that’s the only way I see hockey in Texas.
      11. Who inspires you?
I have a lot of people that inspire me, really anyone who is willing to try something regardless of what people say and treat people with respect. Two of my top are Wayne Gretzky and Tony Hawk, they rose to the top of their game against what everyone said. Gretzky was told he could never play in the NHL and he became one of the best athletes of all-time to play any sport.
      12. What is your proudest accomplishment?
Marrying my wife! and buying our first house.
      13. If you couldn’t live in Austin, where would you want to live?
Colorado or back on the beach in North County San Diego.
      14. I want to learn how to…?
