Mitch Jacobson


Mitch has been the Co-Director for the Clean Energy Incubator at UT since July of 2009. Prior to that Mitch was one of the founders and limited partners in the Angel Investment Group, Eyes of Texas Partners, LLC. For 7 years he was investing in and working with emerging technology companies as a limited partner, board member and consultant. Before that he was the Vice President of Sales & Operations for Tech Data Corporation in Clearwater, FL from 1996-1999. Prior to that, Mitch was will Dell, Inc for 8 years in a variety of executive positions. He ran Dell Direct Sales for 3 years in the U.S. before living in Europe for Dell assisting in the opening and operations of many of the country IBUs. He then ran the Rest of World Organization for 2 years which included sales of Dell products through Distributors and Dealers in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Mitch serves on a number of Clean Energy boards and committees in the Central Texas area including The Texas Foundation of Innovative Communities, The Greater Austin Chamber Clean Energy Council, The Greater Austin Chamber Federal and State Issues Committees & Chair of the Energy committee, Central Texas ETF RCIC, The Chamber Business Retention & Expansion Advisory Board, The Clean Technology Special Interest Group, The Pecan Street Project, Member & Vice Chair of the Clean Energy Alliance, TREIA, & The Advisory Board for SXSW ECO and is the Austin Metro Director for the South Central Region of the Clean Tech Open.

Mitch graduated with a BS in Business and Marketing from the University of Florida and is involved in many non-profit organizations in Austin including sitting on the Board of Directors of Zach Theatre & The Austin Habitat for Humanity.
