The New Philanthropists
The New Philanthropists focuses on helping Austin nonprofits become diverse, equitable and inclusive.
The New Philanthropists (TNP) is a pioneering organization that works to create more racially diverse and inclusive nonprofit boards in Austin. Our mission is to build a pipeline to leadership for people of color, cultivate diversity, equity and inclusion among mainstream nonprofit boards, and enable nonprofits to be more effective stewards of public trust and produce better outcomes for the people they serve.
TNP serves leaders of color by providing support, opportunity and access to board positions on nonprofit boards.
TNP also serves nonprofit boards by giving them the support and resources they need to embark on a diversity, equity and inclusion journey.
There are applications/registrations for leaders of color to participate in our programming at a minimal fee to no cost.. Those programs include: The Board Matching Program, The Equity Chair Workshop and The Board Mentors of Color Program.
The New Philanthropists has a variety of events that bring together people of color and allies for discussions centered around philanthropy and diversity, equity and inclusion.
