The Austin Area Urban League Young Professionals (AAULYP) is a service auxiliary to the Austin Area Urban League. We support the mission of our host affiliate by providing opportunities for young professionals to get involved in a national movement.

The National Urban League’s mission is to enable African Americans and other underserved urban residents to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights. Additionally, the Austin Area Urban League’s mission is to provide tools to African Americans and under-served populations to build a foundation for social and economic equality. For over 40 years, the Austin Area Urban League has served underfunded populations and communities of color, inclusive of Spanish-speaking populations

Membership Details

We serve Young Professionals between the ages of 21-40 in any industry who would like to be involved in community-building activities and build long-lasting relationships with like-minded individuals. We are LGBTQIA inclusive.

Our membership is $75 annually and serves the member for one full calendar year from the membership due date.

We meet once per month and typically have 2-3 events to entertain, engage, and/or serve the disenfranchised communities of Austin.
