Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Austin
Future Leaders Program
IREM Austin's Future Leader Program aims to develop the next generation of property management leaders through a year-long structured journey toward personal and professional advancement.
IREM Austin works to enrich our members’ careers in the real estate industry through education and professional development. Through various initiatives, from networking events and information sharing, to esteemed industry credentialing programs, our association provides services to our members at a variety of levels. We believe that good management matters and that well-managed properties pay dividends in terms of value and in the quality of life for residents, tenants, owners, and clients.
IREM® is an international association organized to advance the profession of real estate management. Our memberships empower college students, young professionals, and industry veterans who are committed to career advancement. Through training, professional development, and collaboration, IREM® supports our members and others in the industry through every stage of their career. An affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®, IREM® makes a difference in the careers of those who manage.
Membership terms renew annually through IREM HQ. Student Membership is free for all full-time college students. Future Leader Applicants must register as an Associate member upon program acceptance or by Jan 1. Associate Dues are $225/year. IREM Austin offers a DEI Scholarship which may cover costs of Associate Dues, luncheons, etc. for recipients.

Future Leader Program Benefits: Free admission at TRENDS, some IREM Monthly Luncheons & IREM Seminars. Free attendance at board events, FL socials, FL classes and other FL exclusive activities (mentorship opportunities, leadership panels, etc).
Leadership roles are available within the local chapter and on the national level. Board Member, Committee Chair or Vice Chair, Governing Council, etc. Members are encouraged to serve on a committee. Options to join cover a variety of interests: special events, building tours, socials/happy hours, community outreach/service partnerships, DEI, etc.
