Title: Sales and Service Representative

Why did you join the AYC?
I was new to Austin when I joined and wanted to meet people and get more involved in the community.

How did you get to Austin?
I decided I needed a change after leaving my job in Indianapolis. I went home for a couple of months after having surgery on my knee and decided to move to Austin. I have family here, I’ve always loved visiting and would rather tolerate the Texas summers over Indiana winters.

What is your favorite lunch spot?
Either Takoba or 1886 Café

If you could have any super power, what would it be and what would you use it for?
The ability to fly. I could travel whenever I wanted and wouldn’t ever have to deal with traffic.

If you could have any celebrity live next door to you who would it be?
Mark Cuban, I’d love to bounce business ideas off of him, play basketball, and go to as many NBA games as possible.

What are your top 3 things to do or see in Austin?
SXSW has been incredible the past two years, UT football game tailgating, and trying new restaurants around town.

If you played hooky for a day, where would we find you?
I would be at Barton Springs or out on Town Lake

When people ask you what you do for a living, what do you tell them?
I tell them I’m a banker for one of the best banks in town. I make banking easy and personalized for small businesses.

What do you think the best invention is in the past 50 years?
I would have to say cell phones/smartphones. You can do almost anything from your smartphone now.

Who was your first Facebook friend?
I have no idea, I would guess my roommate in college.

If you couldn’t live in Austin, where would you want to live?
If I had the option, I’d live in Chicago in the summer and Austin in the winter. I’m from the Chicago area and have always loved Wrigley Field, The Taste of Chicago and going to the lake.

How do you give back?
I’m on the AYC Community Committee, I’ve volunteered at Operation Turkey on Thanksgiving for the past two years and I’ve also coached a high school basketball team the past couple of summers.
