Exclusive collaboration aims to support and promote local musicians

AUSTIN, TX – The Austin Young Chamber today announced PNC Bank as its exclusive Live Music Partner. The collaboration continues the bank’s commitment to the local music industry and its economic impact in the Central Texas area.

This alliance expands on PNC’s pledge to support local music by increasing outreach to millennials and Generation Z, demographics which are critical to the uniqueness and vitality of the Central Texas creative community.

Through this collaboration, PNC Bank will have special access to the Young Chamber membership, showcasing its community activities and sponsored venues with the goal of increasing corporate community development in the city. In its first move as the Young Chamber’s Exclusive Live Music Partner, PNC will sponsor musical entertainment at the 14th Annual Casino Social, to be held Sept. 23 at Branch Park Pavilion. Urban Heat, a local three-piece American post-punk band—and part of Black Fret’s 2022 Class of Artists—will perform at the annual fundraiser.

“Supporting the small business community is at the heart of our Chamber, including the creative community. Partnering with PNC is a step toward investing in and showcasing young creative talent in Central Texas,” said Joana Ortiz, president and chief executive officer of the Austin Young Chamber.

Since joining the Austin business community in 2021, PNC Bank has teamed up multiple times with local organizations to support the community’s economic and social development. The Bank has announced sponsorships with ACL Live and Austin City Limits, including naming rights for PNC Plaza, a new event venue located outside of ACL Live, Austin Music Foundation, Waterloo Greenway and its PNC Lounge, Austin Chamber of Commerce and the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM).
