- What brought you to Austin and how long have you been here?
Went to a small school here called UT and have been back and forth between Austin and the world a few times. Austin keeps drawing me back by its magnetic energy. This is my third Chapter living here. - How did you get connected to AYC?
Moving back in 2016 I decided to get connected to professional organizations and AYC stood out when I was introduced to it by a friend. Once I met and understood the quality of people, I was compelled to get more involved and help however I can. I once got thanked for showing up. - What are you involved with in AYC AND what is your favorite part of AYC?
My favorite part of AYC is the people and the diverse backgrounds, ages and professions everyone brings to the table. Cause if your not at the table, you’re on the floor. Involved with the Ambassador, Imagine and Economic Development committees. Each one has its unique importance to AYC, and I enjoy being somewhat of a conduit between them to let the others be aware of what they are doing and how they can get involved with each other. - Where can we find you brunching in Austin on any given Saturday?
I enjoy making my breakfast tacos on weekends, which I are better than I can find elsewhere. Restaurants, pay attention to the tortilla, the forgotten part of breakfast tacos. You don’t do anything special with it. I have the tortilla on lock. Figure it out. As well, cut up the bacon with kitchen scissors… it makes it easier to eat and doesn’t rip out all the contents when you bite into it and it gets stuck in your teeth. All the other things I do are top secret. - If you could have any superpower, what would it be and what would you use it for?
I already have one. - If you could have any celebrity live next door to you, who would it be?
I’d actually have the paparazzi live next to me, so I don’t have to take my own Instagram photos. But for seconds, Oprah. As I’d have a free couch to crash on and someone sincere to chat with….. and maybe get a free car ever week. I saw it on her show once. - If you had guests visiting Austin for the weekend, where is the first place you would take them to show them a good time?
Once I help them escape from the county jail…. I’d take them to Bouldin Creek Cafe to fuel up, then the White Horse to get your freak on. Cause that’s what I do. - If you played hooky for a day, where would we find you and what would you be doing?
I play hooky ever’day. So you’d find me working in cafe’s. - When people ask you what you do for a living, what do you tell them?
I tell them that I sell drugs. (teaser: I don’t). To see how they react. But I once used aspirin, didn’t feel a thing. - What technology could you not live without?
Everyone says… phones, computers, bla bla bla etc. But just imagine not having running waters and having to go to the outhouse everyday. Couldn’t live without the working commode. - Who inspires you?
Ant-Man - What is your proudest accomplishment?
Graduating from preschool into elementary school. Got to give it to Mrs. Black for teaching me the a, b, c’s…. - If you couldn’t live in Austin, where would you want to live?
