- What brought you to Austin and how long have you been here?
After I graduated college last spring, I was offered a full-time job to work for General Motors’ IT innovation center as a software developer in Austin, Texas last June 2018 ! I have here for about 9 months so far! 🙂 - How did you get connected to AYC?
I got connected to AYC, through hearing about it from some members within the Project Management Institute Chapter Austin Members monthly meetings and wanted to joined every since then! - What are you involved with in AYC AND what is your favorite part of AYC?
I hope to get more involved with volunteering for AYC events and my favorite part of the events AYC host that I look forward to attending are the networking social events ! For example, Casino Social, Coffee Connection and more ! - Where can we find you brunching in Austin on any given Saturday?
You can find me brunching at the Domain on a Saturday at Gloria’s or either at Jack Allen’s with friends and family! - If you could have any superpower, what would it be and what would you use it for?
Mind reading, I enjoy knowing what others are thinking. I would use it in upgrading my marketing strategy to figure out faster what consumers are going through while using products I create. This would help me gain 100% of honest feedback on products throughout their iteration cycle for me to edit it to the best of my abilities. - If you could have any celebrity live next door to you, who would it be?
Jack Dorsey, The CEO of Square and the Original founder of Twitter, he’s super chill and I would love to bounce creative ideas off of his brain to learn more how I could be just as successful as him someday! He was even nice enough to take a selfie with me at the Grace Hopper Conference when I was sophomore in college! #Twitter - If you had guests visiting Austin for the weekend, where is the first place you would take them to show them a good time?
Water Paddling at Lady Bird Lake ! - If you played hooky for a day, where would we find you and what would you be doing?
I would be in my bedroom binge watching “Hap and Leonard” or “Shameless” on Netflix with tons of junk food ! - When people ask you what you do for a living, what do you tell them?
I code, model and travel ! Check out my IG @Cindy_Lou.Who for more information! - What technology could you not live without?
My cellphone, I use it everyday ! - Who inspires you?
Michelle Obama, She’s an amazing role model and she values education as much as I do ! I have read her book called “Becoming Michelle” twice already ! I hope to grow up to be just as awesome as her someday! She’s very relatable and humble as well with a born passion in helping others better their own lives for the better anyway she can. 🙂 - What is your proudest accomplishment?
Being the first one out of my family to graduate from college on a full-ride scholarship in Computational Economics from Pitzer College, one of the Claremont Colleges in Southern California ! #FirstGeneration - If you couldn’t live in Austin, where would you want to live?
Singapore, the majority of my closest friends from studying abroad, live there and I really do miss them all ! The food is great there and their country is the cleanest, well put together country I have ever seen in my life ! I like structure and when I was study abroad there 2 years ago for 6 months, I loved every minute of it ! - I want to learn how to…?
Swim, I never got around to learning how to swim as a kid and no one else in my family can swim either! I have realized it’s a very important life skill to learn! - Pick:
