Emerging Leaders is a group of tomorrow’s leaders supporting United Way for Greater Austin. Members have a passion for philanthropy, advocacy, volunteerism, and community.

Emerging Leaders is a group of tomorrow’s leaders supporting United Way for Greater Austin. Members have a passion for philanthropy, advocacy, volunteerism, and community. Through meaningful volunteer opportunities and networking events, members make connections with other local leaders who all believe that everyone deserves to enjoy the promise of Austin.

Membership Details

Emerging Leaders if for those who are under 40 and passionate about fighting poverty in our community through philanthropy, volunteerism, and advocacy.

Emerging Leaders give at least $1,000 annually to United Way for Greater Austin and are invited to participate in monthly events, volunteer activities, and advocacy opportunities. There is also a step-up program that starts at $500 annually and builds to $1,000 over 3 years.

Events, Programs, and Meetings

We host monthly events that focus on the root causes of poverty and inequity in our community and what we can do to make sure that everyone is able to enjoy the promise of Austin. We host events such as Lunch with Leaders, Impact Series, and networking events.

Additionally, we have a 6 month mentor program with Tocqueville United.
