Austin Young Chamber of Commerce (AYC) Reveals 2016 FAVE Finalists

Austinites Nominate 85 Companies in 17 Categories in One of a Kind Business Awards Event

Finalists for the Austin Young Chamber’s 7th Annual Favorite Austin Venture or Enterprise (FAVE) Awards, presented by State Farm, have been revealed after a community-wide nominations process concluded in July. All 85 finalists were publicly announced at Green Light Social during an evening event on September 7. The party was hosted by Hired and more than a hundred community leaders, AYC members, and finalists were in attendance.

“There are no other awards like this in Austin,” Reese Cisneros, Chair of the AYC FAVE Committee, explained. “FAVE is the only event that takes thousands of nominations from our community and distills them in 17 categories for a completely public vote. These nominations are made by young Austinites and represent the places that entertain, inspire, and represent what makes Austin great!”

“Every company nominated is a FAVE of young professionals. We had more nominations than ever before and the diversity of our nominees is reflected in our broad community,” Executive Director Matt Glazer emphasized. “These are all companies that appeal to our generation and our city. They all make Austin great. We are honored to celebrate their current and future success at the 7th Annual FAVE Awards Gala on November 11th, and we cannot wait to see who the community selects as their 2016 FAVE winners.”

Voting is open to the public until September 21. The online ballot can be found at AustinYC.org/FAVE2016.
