LEAD Summit – Sneak Peek

We had some of our featured speakers from this year’s upcoming LEAD Summit key speakers answer the most asked questions in a panel discussion. Today, you get to hear from Applied Materials ARVR Technical Program Manager Cho Wang!

Cho has worked his way from a semiconductor to his current role at Applied Materials, showing dedication and loyalty to a company that focuses on being the leader of material engineer solutions.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

“There’s no right or wrong answer. Ultimately, you get to determine your definition of success at any point in your life.”

What are some common misconceptions in your field of work that you want to change?

“Teamwork makes the dream work and from my experience, I’ve had the most success working with an expert team than a team of experts. Focus on your ability to work well with others and over time you’ll become an expert in any field.”

What do you hope people get out of the LEAD Summit?

“My hope is that people feel confident in their ability to pursue and build a genuinely fulfilling life for themselves. Whether that’s moving up in a company, changing roles, or switching industries. The world is full of opportunity and you are in control of your future.”

The LEAD Summit (Learn | Explore | Act | Develop) is the Austin Young Chamber’s annual leadership development conference for students, young professionals and business leaders. Tickets are available starting at $145 through April 30. (Want your boss to pay for your ticket? Here are some pointers on how to ask.)
